Why volunteer at a Chance for Bliss?
Volunteering at a Chance for Bliss is a fun and rewarding experience for people of all ages. It is a great chance to spend time with animals, get some fresh air, and give to those who truly need you. We cherish our volunteers, because we can’t do it without them!
What kinds of jobs do volunteers do at A Chance for Bliss?
We have both people who are only available to volunteer for special events and projects, and regular long-term volunteers.
If you are a special events volunteer, we may call on you to help us at a fund raiser, a community event, or with a large project needing extra hands to complete.
If you are a long term volunteer, you may be called to help clean paddocks, feed animals, scrub water buckets, bathe and groom, or any variety of activities that our animals need at the ranch. If you have any special skills you think would benefit the sanctuary, let us know and we are happy to use those as well.
What is required to volunteer at A Chance for Bliss?
We ask that you be able to commit at least 2 hours per week for 6 months (Does not apply to special events volunteers).
You must be 16 years of age, OR have an adult that is willing to accompany you while you volunteer. Under 18 must have parental permission to volunteer.
You must fill out a volunteer application. This can either be printed and mailed to us or emailed to us as an attachment.
You must attend an orientation at the sanctuary (approximately 90 minutes).
What hours are available for people to come volunteer?
We prefer that people come during day light hours, as most of our volunteer work is done out doors. The schedule can be flexible as long as you are meeting your two hour per week commitment, and as long as we have 24 notice in advance if you need to cancel your scheduled volunteer work.
When are orientations scheduled?
Orientations are scheduled as needed and can be conducted on weekends if desired.
Submit completed application here.
